How Do I Meet People?

Forest Hills Church is not a place for spectators.  Nearly everyone is a team member.  Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to become part of our vibrant church community.  Here are ways in which you can learn, serve, and grow at Forest Hills Church.

Weekly Bible Study Group

Our weekly Prayer and Bible Study group meets at 12:30 on Wednesdays to share concerns and joys and have a time of prayer together.  This is followed by a Bible study.  You are invited to join us.  Come and be fed spiritually by God’s Word.

American Baptist Women

Our American Baptist Women’s Ministry group meets from September through May on the first Tuesday of each month. Members always share a lunch and enjoy a short program together.  Their focus is on missions and their purpose is to further them.  ABWM supports students, missionaries, regional projects from the American Baptist Central Region, and serve locally in many other ways.  They have served lunch to the Bella Vista Ministerial Alliance for the past two years and have also served others in the love of Jesus Christ.

Prayer Groups

Forest Hills believes in the power of prayer.  Members answered a challenge from Pastor Sue in January of 2012.  Prayer teams were formed to pray for each member, pray for God’s leading in the ministry of our church, and pray for our community and country.  We have met that challenge and continue these prayer groups with new people joining regularly.  We currently have four prayer groups:
Mondays:  The group meets at Howard Luznicky’s home at 9:15 am.

Fridays:  One group meets at Dave Allen’s home at 8:00 am.  Another one meets at the church in the library at 10:00 am and the third group meets in either the church sanctuary or the library at 11:15 am.

Everyone is welcome to join a prayer group.  Prayer keeps us close to our Lord; it gives strength to the weak, faith to the faint-hearted, and courage to the fearful.

Prayer Matters

Please contact Pat Ward at 479-855-2544 or the church office at 479-855-3555 if you have someone you would like placed on our Prayer Chain.  You may also email your prayer requests to the office at: foresthillschurch@sbcglobal.net.  Each week, we publish a list of prayer requests, entitled “Prayer Matters”, to place in our bulletins.
